Franklin sixth form STEM event

Several of our year nine and year ten students were invited to the STEM conference at Franklin Sixth Form College, where they made their own soap, bath bombs, and lip balm. Following a presentation by Phillips 66 about their business and services, the students used pencils and potatoes to light LED lights by following step by step instructions. After completing their STEM workshops the students were treated to Pizza. They then went to Franklin's careers and progression evening, where they had conversations with the exhibitors from businesses and educational institutions from all over the country.
